Bactiquick Crowned Winner of the 2025 EntreConf Technology Award

Molendotech’s Bactiquick Real Time Water Testing has been named the winner of the 2025 EntreConf Award for Technology, recognising its groundbreaking contribution to environmental innovation and real-world impact in water safety diagnostics. Bactiquick is the only device in the world that can test water in real time at a location with results covering several bacteria, including potentially harmful bacteria responsible for pneumonia (P. Aeruginosa) allowing people to test before they enter the water. Traditional testing is currently up to 48 hours and only cover a small range of bacteria.

Judges for 2025 praised Bactiquick for “translating cutting-edge science into an immediately practical, life-enhancing tool,” calling it “a game-changer for environmental monitoring and public safety.”

Bactiquick is a rapid, field-deployable water-testing system capable of delivering accurate results in just 15 minutes. Building on Molendotech’s core Bacterisk technology, it integrates  analytics, portable biosensors, and real-time data reporting to empower users — from environmental agencies to local communities and water users including swimmers, surfers, triathletes and many more — to monitor bacterial contamination in the water. This puts water testing into the hands of the public and creates a major culture change for the water industry. 

Traditional water-testing processes can take more than 24 hours to yield results due to the delay in sending away to a lab, often delaying action and risking exposure to unsafe conditions. Bactiquick closes this critical gap, helping authorities and the public alike respond faster to pollution and ensure safer, cleaner waterways. The device connects to a testing record app for every user that enhances its results to be shareable and build a bigger picture of water testing locations.
